About Folonari

Folonari was founded in 1825 in the Veneto region of northeast Italy by Francesco Folonari.
From the very beginning, the founders wanted to create exceptional wines for everyday occasions.

Nearly two centuries later, Folonari is enjoyed around the world. The wines are celebrated for their easy-drinking and fruit-forward personalities.

The grapes are sourced from Italy’s most well-known wine producing area – the Chianti region of Tuscany. The winemaking method emphasizes fresh, crisp flavors of the grapes.

Varietals: 100% Sangiovese

Color: Pale ruby red color

Aroma: Hints of cherry and spice.

Tasting Notes: Blackberry and raspberry with almond notes on the finish.
